Casa Barmarin is located in the heart of the historic center of Trinidad, in a pedestrian street where you will find the embroidery market, the city’s great tradition.
We have adopted the concept of cultural house instead of the classic hostel. The living room facing the street is conceived as a Cuban art gallery. The backyard preserves the quietness and privacy of the guests.
The house has been restored in 2017 preserving its colonial identity: hand painted mural paintings, original ceiling woods and clay tiles are part of it since the late eighteenth century.
The central courtyard is a haven of peace perfumed by a jasmine tree. The life of the house is organized around it: a covered gallery houses the outside dining room and on one side are the rooms and the kitchen on the other.
To help you organize your trip, we have compiled a catalogue of experiences, in collaboration with local guides and our own Cuban lifestyle.
